Home > Conference > Themes > Seeking alternative communities in a globalized world
The struggle to create alternative communities is a resistance movement against the economic and cultural imposition of one system - the so-called "free market", with its tendency to perceive all aspects of life as "commodities".
The struggle to open up and enlarge, or at least maintain, some spaces for just and sustainable human relations also sends the message that there is still an alternative.
The term "alternative" is related to values, relations and allegiances.
worldwide communities of shared partnership structures in mission.
